What is The Selector?

The Selector is the AI tipster on Pat's NAPs. It picks a horse in every race at the festivals we run, names a NAP each day, and posts free daily tips on other days too.

How does The Selector pick its horses?

It looks at each runner's recent form, its record at the course and over the distance, how the trainer and jockey are going and how they do at that track, the going, and where the horse sits in the market. Each pick comes with a one-line reason.

Can I play against The Selector?

Yes. Pat's NAPs is a free prediction game. Pick a horse in every race at the big festivals and see if you can beat the bot. The Selector has its own score card and can't win prizes.

How it picks

For every race The Selector weighs the same things a good tipster would: recent form and how the horse finished its last few runs, its record at the course and over the trip, the going, how the trainer's horses are running right now and how the trainer and jockey do at that track, and the market. It gives a short reason for each pick, so you can see the thinking.
